One of the tasks thats been keeping me busy over these last few weeks is getting my guest blogging spot for eCars247 up and running.
In case you haven’t seen my social media lately, I have been asked to be a guest blogger for eCars247. They are changing the face of the used car market. Their unique approach, first class customer service and competitive pricing makes buying a used car easier than ever. And they deliver it to your door. eCars247 stock a wide range and I’m already eyeing a few of them up for some interesting blog posts for the coming weeks and months. As you may know I travel a lot with my job and spend a good amount of time on the road which gives me a great opportunity to give a car a good test drive.
You might want to know, though, why a Barber has been asked to write for a car selling website. Well, since the age of about 4-5 I started to take an interest in cars. My dad is a highly skilled mechanic and during my years as a kid living at home, he would constantly have his head under a bonnet of either one of his cars or a friends that would ask him to have a ‘quick look’ at something for them. I used to love the fact that he would come in covered in oil and grease, the smell of petrol or old engine oil always reminds me of him coming home from work. I remember helping him out as a kid and trying to get as oily as possible just to look like I’d been doing some ‘mechanic stuff’. My interest in cars has remained all through my life and I have owned countless classic Volkswagens, a fair few Land Rovers and even a 1978 V8 Cadillac Coupe DeVille with purple metal flake paint. In fact, when I last counted, during my last 14 years of driving I have owned around 25 cars! My current car, a Mercedes E350 Coupe, is the longest serving yet as I’ve owned it for almost 3 years.
These days, I don’t have much time to spend fixing cars up on my driveway and I decided to be more sensible when it came to buying my latest car. Its the first one in a while thats needed no maintenance, apart from regular services and MOT’s, but its left me without that need to change my car often. When Ecars approached me to write for them as a guest blogger and gave me free choice of their stock of cars I was chuffed. I get to drive any car they have in stock, get great photos of them and write an honest review of it afterwards. Our aim for these reviews is for people who aren’t necessarily petrol heads to be able to read my blog posts, get an honest insight to the car and maybe some good, non-jargon filled information about a car that they are interested in buying.
My first blog post for eCars247 will be live on their site soon so head over and give it a read.
Also give me a shout if theres a particular type of car you would like me to test and write about.
