I was made up to hear from the lads over at Stable Lease car leasing after they dropped me a line a good few weeks ago over Instagram to see if I fancied doing an interview for their blog. They also offered to bring an Audi A7 to show me which was amazing. I’m massively into cars, I’ve owned loads of different ones since i passed my test (17 to be precise) and I’ve always had a love for them.
I especially like German cars, I feel like the quality of them in particular is next level. Ive owned 2 vintage VW Beetles, A 70’s camper and a Bora to name a few. Stable lease specialise in VW and Audi so, as you can imagine, I was definitely keen to hear more about their business. They are based in Speke just down the road from where I grew up. Ive never actually owned an Audi so when Phill got in touch and said he was bringing the A7, I was made up.
It was boss! It was the S-line model that he bought with him. First impressions were that it looked built for comfort. The seats were like a hug, and the ride was quality, smooth and sophisticated. However you could tell the 3Litre lump under the bonnet had plenty of performance. I’d definitely consider an Audi as my next car after just a short ride in this one.
Phil from Stable lease (who looked uncannily like my logo btw) came on the day. He was keen to have a proper look inside my shop and grab some shots, as well as driving over to my new Jamaica St shop for a photo opportunity there. He is the guy who takes care of the photography and social media at Stable Lease so we instantly had loads to talk about. He brought a DJI Osmo Mobile Gimble with him to film some time-lapse bits on, I’d never seen one of these in the flesh before, it’s an exciting piece of kit, i’m looking to buy one for myself to use for future Vlogs and other videoing ideas I have.
I have already recommended a few of my customers to check out Stable Lease, hopefully they will get themselves hooked up with a car through them.
Just then, as I was about to get this blog post ready to go live, Phil turned up in another Audi to show me and this time it was a brand new 66 plate Audi TT S. To be honest, I had always pigeon holed the TT as a bit girly, ‘a hairdressers car’, but my mind was definitely changed when I got to have a proper look at this one. It was silver in colour with massive 20″ wheels.
It looked low and wide which are two things i look for in a car. As soon as I sat in I knew I loved it. The seats felt really sporty and were finished with high craftmanship, the type that make you feel safe when you go into a corner quickly. The new ‘Virtual Cockpit’ was even better in real life than Id seen in videos/pictures. The clocks look as though they sit on top of the sat nav keeping everything, you need to see when driving, in one place. This definitely made me want an Audi even more, Phil left me to play around with the controls for a good amount of time, and my mind was blown by its features.
Here is the interview I did for stable lease and below is the short video they filmed on the day.
